At the NLE Music Foundation, our story begins with Nancy Lee Elliott, a passionate music educator who believed in the power of every child to create and connect through music. We were founded to honor her legacy and carry her vision forward.

We are committed to nurturing young musicians in Southern Maryland and beyond, understanding that music education is about more than just notes—it’s about building confidence, fostering creativity, and creating a sense of belonging. By providing scholarships and funding essential music programs, we strive to make sure that Nancy’s belief—that music can change lives and build stronger communities—is a reality for all.
